AWAA Bash Rulebook
Team Rules
1.) Team size may be as small as 2 players and a max of 4 players
2.) A pitcher and a max of 2 fielders may be in the field at any time
3.) A minimum of 2 batters and a maximum of 3 may be in the lineup
4.) There is no DH'ing for any player.
5.) The pitching count will be 5 balls and 3 strikes.
6.) Cutting balls is prohibited
Pitching Rules
1.) The pitcher has no innings limits
2.) The pitcher can change mound distance once per game. Cannot change mound distant during an inning.
3.) A pitcher cannot re-enter the game
4.) Speed Limit for the front mound (42 feet) is 65mph. A pitch over the limit will result in a warning and a no pitch
5.) No Speed limit on long mound (48 feet)
Batting Rules
1.) A single is a ball hit that rolls to the fence, to the top of the hill, or stops rolling before a play is made..
2.) A double is a ball hit off the fence in left field, off the house, or off the fence in right.
3.) A triple is a ball hit off the roof of the house and lands in the field of play unsuccessfully caught.
4.) A home run is any ball that clears the fences or goes over the house (including balls rolled over the roof)
5.) Base runners move the same amount of bases as the type of hit.
6.) Any balls that is hit above the pitchers head and hits the ground is considered a fly ball. If the ball hits the ground it will be a hit.
7.) Tag can be called before the at bat begins. Once called, any fly ball hit past the pitchers mound will attempt to advance the lead runner. To hold the runner the fielder must throw the ball in the air at the back stop. To get the runner out the fielder must hit the kzone in the air.
Fielding Rules
1.) To record an out, one must:
a.) Catch the ball before it hits the ground.
b.) Catch the ball off the roof/tree.
c.) Cleanly field a ground ball before the singles criteria and throw the ball in the air to the backstop/k zone.
2.) A double play can be attempted with a base runner with a force on any base. The attempt will affect the lead runners only. To complete a double play a ball must be cleanly fielded, thrown to 2nd base, then thrown in the air to the backstop. A triple play can occur the same way but hitting the k zone instead.
3.) No fielders may be in front of the pitchers mound.
4.) There is no out of play, dive wherever the hell you want.
